Preparing your dog for a studio photoshoot doesn’t have to be stressful. With the right setup, your pup can feel calm, confident, and ready to shine in front of the camera. Here’s how to make sure your next dog photography session is a positive experience for both of you.
🐾 Routine = Calm
Dogs thrive on predictability. Keeping their day as normal as possible helps regulate cortisol — the stress hormone. A light meal before arriving can prevent food-related jitters, but don’t worry, they’ll enjoy plenty of treats during the shoot as positive reinforcement!
👀 Clear those eyes
If your dog usually gets groomed, book it a week or two before the session. A quick trim around the eyes helps your pup see clearly, which reduces stress and helps them relax in the studio. Plus, eyes are the window to personality - and catching them clearly makes for unforgettable photos.
🧸 Bring comfort cues
Pack a few familiar items like toys, blankets, or anything that smells like home. Familiar scents = calm vibes, and that means we’ll capture your dog’s true personality on camera
🏡 Our studio = Stress-Free zone
No other doggos, no distractions. Your pup gets time to sniff, explore, and settle in before the camera even comes out. We want them to feel safe, comfortable, and curious — that’s the secret to building positive associations and natural, happy photos.

🐕 Every dog is different - and that's the best part
Shy? Super bouncy? Anxious? Reactive? We’ve seen it all, and we love them all. There’s no “perfect” personality for a photoshoot - just your dog being themselves.
Dogs process new environments differently depending on their temperament and experiences. That’s why we adapt each session - using patience, positive reinforcement, and gentle pacing to keep stress levels low and confidence high. With the right setup, every pup can shine in front of the camera! 🐾
🌟 Find the right session for your pup
Every dog is different, and their photoshoot experience should reflect that. We tailor our sessions to your pup’s age, energy, and personality - because what works for a confident adult dog might feel a little overwhelming for a young one.
Our puppy sessions are for example shorter and designed to match their attention span, so they can enjoy the experience without getting overtired or overstimulated. Adult dogs, on the other hand, can usually handle longer sessions with more variety and playtime built in.
